...unfortunately, I have received this
message below from their booking agent and our long time friend Luuk. Really
gutted about this.
I totally understand when a band cancels for a real serious
reason, like health, family problems etc. but this is nothing more than a
joke!!!
Act of total arrogance and a selfish move from Billy
Milano...enough said.
Of course its bad timing as we are almost done with all the
bands, running order and we also wanted to start selling tickets this week. I'm
ready to leave for Maryland death fest and Montreal after that... To work on
promotion and all I can say is that I'm stressed!
Anyway I can promise we'll get a solid replacement...shit happens,
but it can't stop us from putting on a great Obscene Extreme America!!!

if you have any ideas for good headliner, just tell me!
Luuk van Gestel, Doomstar booking >
It is with the utmost regret and sadness I have to inform
you that Billy Milano has decided to stop M.O.D. once again. This hit us
completely by surprise and was totally unexpected as he has just recorded the
new album. I spoke to him on skype just half a day before getting the message.
Needless to say this is a very unpleasant situation for everyone involved as we
were just about to announce the whole tour. For me personally this is the
darkest day in Doomstar Bookings history as I had a lot of time and effort
invested in this and it seemed to be the highlight of our 7 year career.
Unfortunately it really was too good to be true this time. Billy has prepared a
statement that will go online on milanomosh.com tomorrow at 20.00, I wanted to
inform everyone before that of course.
Anything we can do to help with replacing their spot, please
do let us know. This is a huge loss for us and we wanna end this as good as we
can, even though it is clear this is one hell of a fucked up situation. Our
sincerest apologies for all the trouble this will cause for you, this is out of
our hands.
M.O.D. statement:
“After a long hard ride of 30 years, I have decided to not release the new M.O.D. record. To not continue on a live tour schedule of any type and spend my time on the things in life that matter. Family and love. I want to thank all the M.O.D. fans around the world who supported the band and vision of music for the fans by a fan of music. I thank you greatly with all my heart, but I just don’t want to do it any longer. I just wanted to have some fun one more time and I did. Twice. It’s time to say farewell. Peace, happiness and love to all. Respectfully, the artist formally known as Billy Milano.”
