Here comes a horde that rightfully belongs among the gems of the ultra-brutal Colombian scene!!! AMPUTATED GENITALS have been on the scene since 2003, and every mafioso in Bogota knows them! The vast majority of prominent figures on the Colombian extreme scene have already ridden this machine... the list would be long, but if you've ever heard of the local cult festival Bogota Grind Death Fest, then you're just a step away from the infamous amputation!
The guys are involved in a number of other projects, but AMPUTATED GENITALS still survives and spews terrifying evil from riffs and blasts influenced by several world giants whose names come to mind when you listen to their work. Get ready for brutality that will entertain you!!!
Bio
Amputated Genitals is a Colombian brutal death metal band formed in 2003 in Bogotá by Daniel Paz. With a career marked by intensity and brutality, the band has established its presence in the extreme metal scene in Latin America and beyond. Their music is a testament to their commitment to pushing the boundaries of death metal, blending relentless speed, savage brutality, and groove.
The band's discography reflects their dedication to extreme metal, with three albums that showcase their unique sound:
- Human Meat Gluttony (2005, Gore and blood productions), their brutal debut that put them on the map of extreme metal.
- Family Bloodbath (2009, Gore and blood productions), an album that solidified their position in the regional scene and allowed them to tour extensively throughout Latin America.
- Origin of Murder (2019, Sevared Records), their latest release, recorded at Full Force Studios in New York, explores pre-Hispanic and fictional themes inspired by the conquest of the Americas.
The band has shared the stage with notable bands and has participated in major festivals such as New York Death Fest and Las Vegas Death Fest. In 2023, they took part in the Chicago Domination Fest, and in 2024, they embarked on a highly successful tour of Mexico. Their live performances are a testament to their energy and commitment to their music, and they continue to be one of the most important bands in the Colombian extreme metal scene.
The current lineup features:
- Ricardo Medina on vocals, who joined the band in 2019 and has brought a new level of energy and stage presence.
- Daniel Paz on bass and guitars, a founding member and driving force behind the band's sound.
- Julián Suárez on bass, a core member since 2012 who has been instrumental in shaping their sound.
- Enzo Martínez on drums, who joined the band in 2022 and has brought technical precision and raw intensity to their music.
