ZODIAC IS BACK!!! Our great friends and a band that loves Obscene Extreme. This is none other than the absolute legends MACABRE, who are returning to the Battlefield in 2026 to amaze you for the fifth time at OEF with their highly original Macabre metal, played only and exclusively by these three serial killers!!! From 1987 and their debut "Shit List" to their latest release "Carnival of Killers," MACABRE has been playing a completely unique style that has inspired many of today's underground extreme music stars, but no one has come close to matching it.
A mix of absolutely frenzied compositions, together with beautiful melodic tunes and great lyrics, this is MACABRE as we know them and they will never ever changing their style!!! So not only Zodiac, but also Ed Gein, Vampire Of Dusseldorf, Acid Bath Vampire, and Dahmer are back on the Battlefield!!!
Bio
2020 marks the milestone 35th year for Chicago’s Macabre.Macabre are, and have always been Corporate Death, Dennis The Menace and Nefarious.
Look for re-issues of their complete catalog as well as new music to support this special anniversary.
Macabre blends elements of true crime, math rock, nursery rhymes, punk, thrash, folk melodies, death metal, jazz fusion, black metal and more into an energetic, catchy and unmistakable amalgam. Murder Metal, the title of their latest release, refers to Macabre's signature style. It's a genre of one. The all-too-true tales of man's inhumanity to man are delivered with knife-edge precision, interspersed with Corporate Death's patented screech.
Fast and heavy, with a focus on things that make happy shiny people cringe, the original members, Corporate Death (guitar and vocals), Nefarious (bass and vocals) and Dennis the Menace (drums) are still together. Macabre have brought mayhem to the world for decades, playing dozens of countries over the years. Macabre's rabid fans, including members of bands ranging from Carcass to Slipknot, relish the band's tight and increasingly sophisticated music; they exult in their musical chops as much as in the band's sense of humor, their killer music, and its deadly subjects.
